A Cuban Affair at Expo 2020

Between October 2021- March 2022, Dubai hosted over 20 million guests for EXPO 2020, showcasing exciting innovations and stories from across the globe.

As part of this spectacular event, La Clé were invited by the Cuban Embassy to partake in EXPO’s “New 7 wonders celebration”.

On February 12th, 2022, our very own Cubache performed their own renditions of traditional Cuban music on the Jubilee stage, bringing the zest and colour of Cuban culture and music to the event.

The following day, in celebration of National Day for Cuba, Cubache wowed the audience with a dazzling performance on the grand Millenium stage, alongside Latin Grammy Award winners Septeto Santiaguero.

As many of you know, Cubache were envisioned and curated by La Clé, seeded by our own love for the infectious Cuban rhythms and sound. We travelled to Cuba, sought out the musicians, and then arranged for them to move here to Dubai, where we have proudly shared their talent on stages across the UAE.
